Our Essential Global Mobility training is an engaging one-day course which lifts the lid on the secrets of Global Mobility. Covering the fundamentals of the assignment life cycle, tax, and immigration, this training course provides a solid grounding in Global Mobility.

Why you should attend
The aim of the day is to demystify the Global Mobility world, explain the fundamentals of Global Mobility practice, and aid your professional development. You will end the day with a greater understanding of Global Mobility and have the confidence to put your newly-learnt knowledge in to practice as soon as you get back to your desk.

Great for those who have been in a Global Mobility role for less than 12 months or non-Global Mobility specialists who wish to broaden their Global Mobility knowledge.

What will be covered
We will be starting with defining GM and the jargon often used by GM professionals. We will look at the entire lifecycle of a GM move. Magrath Sheldrick will take us through immigration essentials, including how to plan ahead and the potential consequences of non-compliance. BDO will then talk through tax essentials and how the different tax approaches can have an impact. We will then round off the day with benefits packages, looking at how a core-flex package might work.

Expat Academy will help to define exactly what Global Mobility is and bust some of the jargon commonly used in the industry. We will then work through the entire assignment lifecycle and the potential pitfalls at each stage.

Magrath Sheldrick talk us through how to avoid immigration being an after thought and how to have a key planning thought process. We will look at essential immigration compliance and the potential consequences of non-compliance.

BDO explain why tax is important in Global Mobility, the costs and the possible consequences of non-compliance. We will work through examples of how different tax approaches can impact an assignment as well as some social security and payroll basics.

Expat Academy will talk through some of the relocation benefits offered in Global Mobility, what they entail and how you may flex the use of them. We'll also discuss the most current trends before recapping what we have learnt throughout the day.

When the topic I was researching was not previously discussed I posted a question out to the network. The network responses were very helpful and reassured me I was on the right track.
